HOW TO USE BIPROATE (Sodium Valproate Valproic Acid) TABLET CR

Take this medicine in the dose as advised by your physician. Swallow it and do not chew, crush or break it. Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR is to be taken with food as doing this will help you avoid acid reflux.

HOW BIPROATE TABLET CR WORKS

Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR is a combination of two anti epileptic medicines and these are Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid. They work in tandem to control any convulgence, seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and hyper activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

BIPROATE TABLET CR RELATED WARNINGS

Alcohol

Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Pregnancy

Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR is considered unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is enough evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example, in life-threatening situations. Please consult your physician.

Lactation

Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR is considered safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not mix into the breast milk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the new born.

Driving

Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR may make you feel sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness and if this happens we recommend you not to drive.

Kidney

Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR is probably safe to use in patients with kidney ailments. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR may not be required in these patients. Please consult your physician.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney ailments.

Liver

Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR should be used with caution in patients with liver ailments. Dose adjustment of Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR may be required. Please consult your physician.
Use of Biproate 333 mg/145 mg Tablet CR is not recommended in patients with severe liver ailments and active liver ailments.
