HOW TO USE BIPROATE TABLET CR
Take this medicine in the dose as advised by your physician. Swallow it whole and do not chew, crush or break it. Biproate CR 300 Tablet is to be taken with food and doing this will help to avoid acid reflux.
HOW BIPROATE TABLET CR WORKS
Biproate CR 300 (Sodium Valproate (200mg) + Valproic Acid (87mg) Tablet is a combination of two antiepileptic medicines: Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid. They work together to control seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
BIPROATE TABLET CR RELATED WARNINGS
Biproate CR 300 (Sodium Valproate (200mg) + Valproic Acid (87mg) Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness is taken with alcohol.
Biproate CR 300 Tablet is considered unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is enough evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risks involved for example, in life-threatening situations. Please consult your physician before taking this medicine.
Biproate CR 300 Tablet is considered safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not mix into the breast milk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the new born.
Biproate CR 300 Tablet may make you feel sleepy, tired, or decrease in alertness. If this happens, we recommend you not to drive.
Biproate CR 300 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney ailments. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Biproate CR 300 Tablet may not be required in these patients. Please consult your physician.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney ailments.
Biproate CR 300 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver ailments. Dose adjustment of Biproate CR 300 Tablet may be required so please consult your doctor.
Use of Biproate CR 300 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver ailment and active liver ailment.
